Who I Am Today

(date all your entries, only rule for journaling:-) Take twenty minutes and write your thoughts about yourself, using, Who I am Today, as your header. You may be surprised how you look at yourself and especially appreciate this entry, months from now, when you take a look back at who you have become and who you were the day you wrote this entry.

If I could contribute one thought of wisdom to the world to better it, this is what it would be.

Use the above words as your opening line and write your words of wisdom.

Ten things I like about ME.

Number your page one to ten and write the things you most like about yourself. It is always good to see yourself on paper rather then in the mirror. Be honest and don't be shy to compliment yourself about your good qualities. Yes you have good qualities, remind yourself of them.

Ten things I don't like about myself.

Same as above only the opposite. Without even realizing it once you write the above you will begin to make changes in the areas of yourself that you are not contend with, because you have addressed them, openly and honestly with yourself in writing. No one is perfect, we all have faults and things we don't like in ourselves.

Three "Simple Pleasures" life gives me without costing me a penny.

Write in paragraph form the above. There are so many small things that are simple pleasures, we often take for granted. Acknowledge them in writing.

I remember when...

This could be explosive or very sentimental. Write a good memory of something in your life that you want to share with your children, grandchildren, or just with your heart alone, to tuck away there forever. Or perhaps, given we are in the midst of war your thoughts might be directed to write about how the world has changed so drastically since 9-11, or since our powers that be declared war on Iraq. What better way then to leave your memories of your emotions felt with this war on the page, for generations that will follow in your name, to allow them the privilege of knowing what your inner spirit felt about, war.
